I have a list of prices for my items, how do I quickly set them up in inFlow On-Premise?

Please note: we will sunset inFlow On-Premise on July 31, 2024. After sunset we will stop selling or activating new licenses for inFlow On-Premise and stop providing support (including online KB articles).

You can import multiple sales pricing schemes into inFlow and to do so there are a couple of things you need to know:
  1. You will need to import them one at a time.
  2. You will need to set your default price in inFlow (Main Menu > Options > Settings) to the one that you’re importing from your file.
Before you start importing your information it’s important to ensure that you’re fully prepared (make a backup!). Have a look at your import file. You will need to ensure that your product codes match what is in the system already (if you have products in the system, if you don’t then they will be created when you import). The easiest way to set up your spreadsheet is as follows:

In this configuration you have five pricing schemes that can be imported. Each one will need to be imported one at a time.

Before beginning your imports it’s a good idea to set up a pricing scheme for each of the columns you’re going to be importing.

To set up pricing schemes in inFlow:

  1. Go to the Main Menu > Options > Settings window.
  2. Once open, scroll down to the Pricing & Costing tab and click Manage Customer Pricing Schemes.
  3. This will allow you to create a pricing scheme for each of the prices you’re about to import.

Once set up you will need to verify which of the pricing schemes is set as the default. You can do this by clicking on the star beside the pricing scheme you want.

Once you’ve verified that, you’ll know which of the columns should be imported first. For example, if you set the default to Wholesale Price, you’ll want to make sure your the column that will be imported is your Wholesale Price column.

In this case we’re starting with the Wholesale Pricing scheme and after that initial setup it’s simply a matter of running through an import.

  1. Go to Main Menu > General > Import Data.
  2. Select Product Details as your data type, select the file you’ve created and click Next.
  3. Select the columns that match the your current default pricing scheme. For example, as we’ve set Wholesale Price as our default scheme earlier, we want to make sure the “Default Unit Price” is matched to the WHOLESALE price column in our excel file as below:

  4. Once this has been completed re-open the Settings window and select one of the other pricing schemes as the default scheme, then repeat your import with the same file but selecting another column of information.

When you’re finished with the imports the product record will reflect all the pricing schemes that you’ve imported.
