{"id":3337,"date":"2014-04-02T20:47:17","date_gmt":"2014-04-03T00:47:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.inflowinventory.com\/support\/article\/3337\/how-do-i-adjust-my-stock-levels\/"},"modified":"2018-06-07T17:33:46","modified_gmt":"2018-06-07T21:33:46","slug":"how-do-i-adjust-my-stock-levels","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/onpremise.inflowinventory.com\/support\/article\/30986790\/how-do-i-adjust-my-stock-levels\/","title":{"rendered":"How do I adjust my stock levels?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>There are a number of ways you can adjust stock. inFlow On-Premise will automatically adjust your stock when you complete a sales or purchase order but if you\u2019re going to manually update your stock levels there are two ways to do so.<\/p>\n<h4>To adjust one item:<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Open the product record of the item you would like to adjust.<\/li>\n<li>Click the quantity of stock in the Inventory section and enter the corrected number.<\/li>\n<li>Press the Tab key on your keyboard.<\/li>\n<li>Click <em>Save<\/em>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n<p><div class=\"article-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-16241 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/onpremise.inflowinventory.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2014\/04\/30986790_1.png\" alt=\"Adjust quantity in product screen\" width=\"333\" height=\"164\" srcset=\"https:\/\/onpremise.inflowinventory.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2014\/04\/30986790_1.png 333w, https:\/\/onpremise.inflowinventory.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2014\/04\/30986790_1-300x148.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 333px) 100vw, 333px\" \/><\/div><\/p>\n\n<h4>To adjust several items:<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"background-color: initial;\">Go to <\/span><em style=\"background-color: initial;\">Main Menu &gt; Inventory &gt; Adjust Stock.<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Select the items you\u2019d like to adjust in the main table. inFlow will automatically set a &#8220;New Quantity&#8221;, &#8220;Old Quantity&#8221; and &#8220;Difference&#8221; for each item you select. You will need to change this in step 3.<\/li>\n<li>There are two ways you can\u00a0enter adjustments in this screen. This depends on whether you are doing a count (knowing your total stock level) or if you are adding\/removing stock (knowing the difference). For example:a) If you are doing a count of Item 10201 and you&#8217;ve found that you&#8217;ve only got 10 of them, enter 10 into the &#8220;New Quantity&#8221; column. inFlow will\u00a0calculate the difference between your old quantity and the new quantity automatically.<br \/>\nb) If you are removing 5 units of Item 10201 because they have been damaged, enter &#8220;-5&#8221; into the &#8220;Difference&#8221; column. inFlow will calculate your new quantity automatically based on the old quantity and the difference.<\/li>\n<li>Once you\u2019re satisfied\u2014enter a remark if you would like to\u2014click <em>Save and Complete<\/em>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n<p><div class=\"article-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-16231 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/onpremise.inflowinventory.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2014\/04\/30986790_2.png\" alt=\"Adjust quantity in Adjust Stock screen\" width=\"960\" height=\"610\" srcset=\"https:\/\/onpremise.inflowinventory.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2014\/04\/30986790_2.png 960w, https:\/\/onpremise.inflowinventory.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2014\/04\/30986790_2-300x191.png 300w, https:\/\/onpremise.inflowinventory.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2014\/04\/30986790_2-768x488.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 960px) 100vw, 960px\" \/><\/div><\/p>\n<h4><\/h4>\n<h4>To cancel a stock adjustment:<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Click the <em>Cancel<\/em>\u00a0button located at the top toolbar on the stock adjustment screen. Note that the cancellation means that all adjustments for each listed item are reversed.<\/li>\n<li>If you only want to cancel the adjustments for specific items instead, simply right-click on the row you want to remove and click <em>Delete selected rows<\/em>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n<blockquote><p><strong>NOTE<\/strong>: If you are adjusting the stock level of a serialized product, you&#8217;ll need to enter the serial numbers manually, or click the <em>Generate Serials\u00a0<\/em>button at the bottom right of the window.
