You can easily return these items from the original sales order by clicking on the <em>Return<\/em> tab in inFlow On-Premise. If you have issued a credit, or still owe your customer, you&#8217;ll be able to print a credit note.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>To process the return:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>On the original sales order, click the <em>Return<\/em> tab at the bottom.<\/li>\n<li>Click <em>Auto Fill<\/em> to copy the contents of the original order into this tab.<\/li>\n<li>Remove any items from the list which are not being returned. When you\u2019re finished, only the items that are being returned to you should be in this table.<\/li>\n<li>If any items are being discarded instead of going back into your inventory, check the box <em>Discarded<\/em>? next to the item in question.<\/li>\n<li>At this stage, <strong>if the customer has already paid you,<\/strong> you can give a refund and\u00a0print your credit note. To do so click <em>Print<\/em>, select <em>Credit Note<\/em>.<\/li>\n<li>To complete the refund click the <em>SALES<\/em> tab and click on <em>Refund<\/em> (at the bottom of the screen) to give your customer the refund. If you are issuing credit instead, click the arrow button beside the <em>Refund<\/em> button and select <em>Issue Credit<\/em>.<\/li>\n<li>You can click the <em>Restock<\/em> button to restock your items.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n<p><div class=\"article-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-21863\" src=\"https:\/\/onpremise.inflowinventory.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2014\/04\/31388654_1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"960\" height=\"691\" srcset=\"https:\/\/onpremise.inflowinventory.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2014\/04\/31388654_1.png 960w, https:\/\/onpremise.inflowinventory.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2014\/04\/31388654_1-300x216.png 300w, https:\/\/onpremise.inflowinventory.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2014\/04\/31388654_1-768x553.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 960px) 100vw, 960px\" \/><\/div><\/p>\n\n<div>\n<p>If you have issued a credit you will still be able to print a credit note but if you have issued a full refund that document will no longer appear in the print window once you&#8217;ve completed your refund.<\/p>\n<p>The returned items will show up along with the items that been sent out so you&#8217;ll see some negative quantities on the sales order. This is normal and a good indicator of which items were returned can be shown on the left most column of the sales order in a red circle.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Don&#8217;t see a <em>Refund\/Issue Credit<\/em> option? inFlow won&#8217;t show this if your customer hasn&#8217;t paid you in full\u00a0&#8212; it&#8217;s just going to deduct it from the balance of the order.\u00a0You shouldn&#8217;t have to issue credit\/refund for items that your customer hasn&#8217;t paid you for, after all!<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>From time to time, customers may need to return items to you.
