{"id":3325,"date":"2014-04-16T19:42:53","date_gmt":"2014-04-16T23:42:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.inflowinventory.com\/support\/article\/3325\/how-do-i-manage-rental-services-in-inflow\/"},"modified":"2018-05-17T16:40:26","modified_gmt":"2018-05-17T20:40:26","slug":"how-do-i-manage-rental-services-in-inflow","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/onpremise.inflowinventory.com\/support\/article\/33338860\/how-do-i-manage-rental-services-in-inflow\/","title":{"rendered":"How do I manage rental services in inFlow On-Premise?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Some companies provide rental or borrowing services to their clients and want to track the movement of their equipment as well as the rental purchase. \u00a0To do so you&#8217;ll need to set up your equipment as a product and set up your service (rental fee) as below:<\/p>\n\n<h2>Set up a rental service item:<\/h2>\n<blockquote><p><strong>IMPORTANT:<\/strong> A product\u2019s type is permanent once saved so it\u2019s important to set it up correctly before you save.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<ol>\n<li>Create a new product and enter &#8220;&lt;Item&gt; Rental Fee&#8221; as the item name\/code (e.g. Jumping Castle Rental Fee)<\/li>\n<li>In the <em>Type<\/em> field, set the product up as a service (so it does not track inventory).<\/li>\n<li>Save the record.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><div class=\"article-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-21596\" src=\"https:\/\/onpremise.inflowinventory.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2014\/04\/33338860_1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1016\" height=\"734\" srcset=\"https:\/\/onpremise.inflowinventory.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2014\/04\/33338860_1.png 1016w, https:\/\/onpremise.inflowinventory.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2014\/04\/33338860_1-300x217.png 300w, https:\/\/onpremise.inflowinventory.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2014\/04\/33338860_1-768x555.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1016px) 100vw, 1016px\" \/><\/div><\/p>\n\n<p>When you make a sale you would add both items to the invoice&#8211;
