Sometimes, you’ll want to do a physical count of the stock level in your warehouse to check it against the system’s numbers<\/span>. Count sheets \/ stock-taking can help you do this quickly<\/span>. After you’re done counting, you can easily<\/span> adjust the stock levels from the same screen.<\/div>\n

Once you’ve started your count, as a general best practice we’d recommend you stop processing orders \/inventory movement until you’ve finished your count, or try counting smaller sections of your warehouse<\/span>.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

To create a count sheet:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Go to Main Menu > Inventory > Count Sheet.<\/em><\/li>\n
  2. Click the Add Items By…<\/em>\u00a0button and choose to add items by Products<\/em>\u00a0or by Location<\/em>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n

    To add by Products:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    1. Select the items on the left that you would like to include in your count and move them to the table on the right using the buttons in the center.<\/li>\n
    2. Once you’re satisfied with the list on the right, click Select<\/em>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n

      To add by Location:<\/strong><\/p>\n

      1. Select the locations within the window that you’d like to add to the count sheet.<\/li>\n
      2. Click Add<\/em>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n

        Once you have the items in the count sheet, you can print it as a list for completing your count. When you’re ready to start your count, click the Start Counting<\/em>\u00a0button to record the inventory numbers you have right now. This will fill the\u00a0System Quantity\u00a0<\/em>column with inFlow’s numbers.<\/p>\n\n

        Keep in mind that this doesn’t prevent you from continuing business so if you continue to process items \/ move inventory around these numbers will no longer be accurate.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n

        Continue doing your physical count. You can either write down the numbers on the printed list and input it into the Counted Quantity\u00a0<\/em>column\u00a0all at once, or input directly one by one. If there’s no change to an item’s quantity you can just leave it blank.<\/p>\n

        Once you’ve finished entering the counted numbers, you will see the Complete & Adjust <\/em>button at the bottom. Click this button to adjust the system quantity\u00a0based on your counted levels.<\/p>\n\n

        When you’ve completed the count sheet, inFlow will save a record of the change and you can run the Count Sheet Report to look at any loss\/ shrinkage.<\/p>\n

        You can also click the Uncomplete<\/em>\u00a0button if you need to re-open the count sheet (though note that your system quantities may have changed by then).<\/p>\n\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
