{"id":3264,"date":"2014-05-28T18:47:46","date_gmt":"2014-05-28T22:47:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.inflowinventory.com\/support\/article\/3264\/how-do-i-export-data-or-other-transactions-from-inflow\/"},"modified":"2019-03-29T16:09:34","modified_gmt":"2019-03-29T20:09:34","slug":"how-do-i-export-data-or-other-transactions-from-inflow","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/onpremise.inflowinventory.com\/support\/article\/41139804\/how-do-i-export-data-or-other-transactions-from-inflow\/","title":{"rendered":"How do I export data from inFlow On-Premise?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>There are two ways to export data: exporting all records of the same type, or only\u00a0certain records of your choice.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"#exporting1\">Exporting all data of the same type<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"#exporting2\">Exporting only a selection of data<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"#exporting3\">Exporting reports<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"#exporting4\">Data that can\u2019t be exported<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 id=\"exporting1\">Exporting all data of the same type<\/h2>\n\n<p><div class=\"article-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-15611 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/onpremise.inflowinventory.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2014\/05\/41139804_1.png\" alt=\"41139804_1\" width=\"508\" height=\"405\" srcset=\"https:\/\/onpremise.inflowinventory.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2014\/05\/41139804_1.png 508w, https:\/\/onpremise.inflowinventory.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2014\/05\/41139804_1-300x239.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 508px) 100vw, 508px\" \/><\/div><\/p>\n\n<p>To export <strong>all data of the same type:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Go to <em>Main Menu &gt; General &gt; Export Data<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Choose the type of data you\u2019d like to export (<em>Product Details, Sales Orders, Purchase Orders, Customers<\/em>, etc.)<\/li>\n<li>Click <em>Browse <\/em>to choose where you\u2019d like this file to be saved.<\/li>\n<li>Click <em>Next<\/em>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>For example, if you selected <em>Product Details<\/em>\u00a0to export, this will create a file for all of your products in inFlow (excluding deactivated items). This file will contain information you can get from the product info page, like <em>Price, Cost, Unit of Measure, Barcode<\/em> etc.<\/p>\n\n<h2 id=\"exporting2\">Exporting only a selection of data<\/h2>\n<p>If you go to any one of the listing views (e.g. <em>Sales Order List, Purchase Order List, Product List<\/em>), you can filter that list to show only certain records. For example, let&#8217;s say you want to view and export\u00a0all products\u00a0under the Misc. category only, you can go to the product list and filter to show only Misc. category products, then export from there. See the GIF below for how to do this (various examples in different lists).<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Note that Sales Quotes can be exported but currently\u00a0<strong>can&#8217;t\u00a0be imported<\/strong>.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<ol>\n<li>Go to the listing view of your choice (<em>Sales Order list\/ Purchase Order list\/ Product list\/Work Order list<\/em>)<br \/>\nFilter this list to the information you want to view \/ export.<\/li>\n<li>Right-click on the header of the table.<\/li>\n<li>You can choose two options here:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px\"><strong>Export contents to csv<\/strong>: This exports only the information in the columns that you are seeing in the list view.<br \/>\n<strong>Export these orders\/products<\/strong>: This exports all information of the products regardless of what\u00a0columns you have (e.g <em>Barcode<\/em>, <em>Cost<\/em>, <em>Unit of Measure<\/em>).<\/p>\n<p>For example, the <em>Cost<\/em> information is not an available column in the <em>Product List<\/em>. If you are exporting a selection of products\u00a0and you need to see the cost, you&#8217;ll need to click <em>Export these products<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><div class=\"article-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-15621 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/onpremise.inflowinventory.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2014\/05\/41139804_2.gif\" alt=\"41139804_2\" width=\"960\" height=\"688\" \/><\/div><\/p>\n<p>You can also export: <em>Count Sheets, Stock Adjustments, Product Pricing Sheets, Customer Lists, Vendors Lists and Current Stock Lists<\/em><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"exporting4\">Data that cannot be exported<\/h2>\n<p>If you&#8217;re <a href=\"https:\/\/onpremise.inflowinventory.com\/support\/article\/41559280\/how-do-i-archive-my-database\/\">archiving your database<\/a>, or would like to export as much information out of inFlow as possible, note the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Work Orders can&#8217;t be exported &#8211; you can note down the details manually if you want to re-create them.<\/li>\n<li>It&#8217;s not possible to export Attachments and Pictures\/Images<\/li>\n<li>Other than billing and shipping addresses, extra addresses can&#8217;t be exported.<\/li>\n<li>Only your default pricing scheme can be exported. If you have multiple pricing schemes,\u00a0you can change the default pricing scheme and then export your product details\u00a0multiple times.<\/li>\n<li>All settings in Personal, General and Print settings can&#8217;t be exported<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>There are two ways to export data: exporting all records of the same type, or only\u00a0certain records of your choice.
