This way, you can assign a unique product name\/SKU to each variation and use the product category or a custom field to link them all together. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Let\u2019s take an example: you have a T-Shirt that comes in 2 colors (orange and blue) and 3 sizes (small, medium and large). This means you have 6 different variations of your T-Shirt. To track each variation, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/onpremise.inflowinventory.com\/support\/article\/36199104\/creating-your-product\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">create a separate product record<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for each one. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Depending on your naming convention, consider using the unique SKU number as the item name, or you can include the size and color when naming your variations. Because inFlow sorts your items alphanumerically, it can be a good idea to add your style number to the beginning of your item name for better sorting and tracking (see below):<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>1043-S-BL&nbsp;|&nbsp;1043-M-BL&nbsp;|&nbsp;1043-L-BL<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>1043-S-Org&nbsp;|&nbsp;1043-M-Org&nbsp;|&nbsp;1043-L-Org<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Tip<\/span>: you can use the <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Copy<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> button to duplicate the record and simply change the details which are different (either size or color). For example:<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Open a new product record and enter the details for a Small Blue T-shirt (Eg. Item Code = 1043-S-Bl).<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Click <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Save<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Click <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Copy.<\/span><\/i><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Change the details in the Item Name and Description which are different for the medium sized shirt (Eg. 1043-M-Bl).<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Continue this process until you have a different record for each shirt size.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Tracking your product variations together<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you\u2019ve included the style number in your product name, you can use it to search your product tables by typing it into the search field. You can use these to filter your product tables and reports! <\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Using the product category field<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You can assign the same <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/onpremise.inflowinventory.com\/support\/article\/55461670\/how-do-i-categorize-my-products\/\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">product<\/span><\/i> <i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">category<\/span><\/i><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to each of your variations so that you can track them together. We suggest using the style name\/number or model as your category. If you\u2019re already using the <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Category<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> field, you can create a subcategory instead!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">|&nbsp;E.g.
