It&#8217;s understandable that you&#8217;d want to choose where you&#8217;re selling your stock from. By default, if you don&#8217;t actively choose the location, the inventory will be removed from the default location. You can change the\u00a0<strong>system default location<\/strong>\u00a0under <em>Main Menu &gt; Options &gt; Settings &gt; Manage Inventory Locations<\/em>. If you select a location on the sales order (demonstrated in picture above), then inFlow will use that location for all items on that sales order.<\/p>\n<p>However, sometimes you may run into an issue where you don&#8217;t have enough stock in the location to fulfill your order. This is indicated by an exclamation mark beside your product&#8217;s quantity.<\/p>\n\n<p><div class=\"article-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-21738\" src=\"https:\/\/onpremise.inflowinventory.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2017\/04\/64213050_2.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1019\" height=\"734\" srcset=\"https:\/\/onpremise.inflowinventory.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2017\/04\/64213050_2.png 1019w, https:\/\/onpremise.inflowinventory.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2017\/04\/64213050_2-300x216.png 300w, https:\/\/onpremise.inflowinventory.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2017\/04\/64213050_2-768x553.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1019px) 100vw, 1019px\" \/><\/div><\/p>\n\n<blockquote><p>Note that even if you have enough stock on hand in total across all locations, that exclamation mark applies specifically to a single location only. The above screenshot shows that there&#8217;s not enough stock in the location specified (&#8220;Default Location&#8221;).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n<h2>Removing\u00a0stock from\u00a0multiple locations in the same order<\/h2>\n<p>To get inFlow to use a combination of locations, click the <em>Fulfill<\/em> tab (or <em>Pick<\/em> tab if you&#8217;re in shipping mode). Click\u00a0<em>Auto Fill<\/em>\u00a0and click on the <em>Location<\/em> for that product. It will show you a dropdown of each location you have and the quantities for that product.<\/p>\n\n<p><div class=\"article-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-21739\" src=\"https:\/\/onpremise.inflowinventory.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2017\/04\/64213050_3.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1016\" height=\"734\" srcset=\"https:\/\/onpremise.inflowinventory.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2017\/04\/64213050_3.png 1016w, https:\/\/onpremise.inflowinventory.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2017\/04\/64213050_3-300x217.png 300w, https:\/\/onpremise.inflowinventory.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2017\/04\/64213050_3-768x555.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1016px) 100vw, 1016px\" \/><\/div><\/p>\n\n<p>Decide which location you want to fill the remainder of and add it as a new line. You will have to adjust the quantity for the first location as well.<\/p>\n<p>Alternatively, instead of having the order show two different locations on the <em>Fulfill tab \/ Pick list<\/em>, you can do a <a href=\"http:\/\/inflowinventory.com\/support\/article\/30682700\/how-do-i-transfer-stock-between-locations\">stock transfer<\/a> to transfer the product from other locations to the location on the sales order. When you&#8217;ve received the products in the stock transfer, only then you would go to the order and fulfill the sale.<\/p>\n<p>This information applies to the purchasing side as well, on the <em>Receive<\/em> tab (instead of a <em>Fulfill<\/em> tab).<\/p>\n\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Handling multiple locations in inFlow On-Premise?
