For example, to issue a computer to &#8220;John Doe&#8221;, you would have inventory locations set up for &#8220;Main Warehouse&#8221; and &#8220;John Doe&#8221;, and also create a product representing &#8220;Computer&#8221;. Then to issue the computer, create a <em>Stock Transfer<\/em> (<em>Main Menu &gt; Inventory &gt; Transfer Stock<\/em>) to move the computer from &#8220;Main Warehouse&#8221; to &#8220;John Doe&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>This is trackable via the product history, the transfer#, and also the location itself (representing the person).<\/p>\n\n<p><div class=\"article-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-19071\" src=\"https:\/\/onpremise.inflowinventory.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2015\/03\/63417414_1.png\" alt=\"Transfer Stock #\" width=\"960\" height=\"691\" srcset=\"https:\/\/onpremise.inflowinventory.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2015\/03\/63417414_1.png 960w, https:\/\/onpremise.inflowinventory.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2015\/03\/63417414_1-300x216.png 300w, https:\/\/onpremise.inflowinventory.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2015\/03\/63417414_1-768x553.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 960px) 100vw, 960px\" \/><\/div><\/p>\n\n<p>If you check the product record right after you&#8217;ll be able to see where and who has taken an asset.
