Let&#8217;s start by adding your cost.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>To enter your product details in bulk, use a Product Details import. Click\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/onpremise.inflowinventory.com\/support\/article\/44652340\/how-do-i-import-product-details-into-inflow\/\">here<\/a>\u00a0for steps!<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h2>Entering product costs<\/h2>\n<p>Costs in inFlow reflect what you\u2019ve paid for an item (including shipping fees and any other tariffs etc). You can see more about <a href=\"https:\/\/inflowinventory.com\/support\/article\/61988700\/my-products-cost-is-wrong-how-do-i-change-it\">changing your costs here<\/a>.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<div>\n<h2><\/h2>\n<h2>Entering product prices and markup<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<p>The markup and sales prices affect each other automatically. You can enter your price in the first box and the markup will be recalculated based on the cost. Similarly, if you know the markup of your products you can enter it into the markup box and your sales price will be calculated based on the cost.<\/p>\n\n<h3>Fixed Price<\/h3>\n<p>You&#8217;ll notice that after entering the cost and price, markup will automatically be calculated like so:<br \/>\n<div class=\"article-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-18091 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/onpremise.inflowinventory.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2016\/01\/98741657_2.png\" alt=\"98741657_2\" width=\"375\" height=\"196\" srcset=\"https:\/\/onpremise.inflowinventory.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2016\/01\/98741657_2.png 375w, https:\/\/onpremise.inflowinventory.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2016\/01\/98741657_2-300x157.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 375px) 100vw, 375px\" \/><\/div><\/p>\n<p>With fixed price, your price remains unchanged regardless of cost fluctuations. The markup percentage will fluctuate as your cost changes, but the price will remain the same unless you manually update it.<\/p>\n<p>You can see more about <a href=\"https:\/\/inflowinventory.com\/support\/article\/36095410\/can-i-mass-adjust-my-pricing-schemes-based-on-costother-pricing-schemes-etc\">doing a pricing adjustment en masse here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n<h3>Fixed Markup<\/h3>\n<p>If you&#8217;d rather not use the fixed price method, you can also choose to lock-down your markup, so that as your costs go up and down your prices will follow suit!
