You can always able to make updates to product records directly, but if you\u2019d like to make changes in bulk, then re-importing your product details to inFlow is the quickest way. This can be done in 3 steps<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>Exporting from inFlow.<\/li><li>Editing the CSV.<\/li><li>Re-importing to inFlow.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3>Before you start<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Back up your database before you start the import process. This gives you the option to revert your data back to as it was before the import. For more on <a href=\"https:\/\/onpremise.inflowinventory.com\/support\/backing-up-and-restoring-data\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"backing up and restoring your database see here (opens in a new tab)\">backing up and restoring your database see here<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3>Step 1 \u2013 Exporting from inFlow<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>Go to Main Menu &gt;<em>General<\/em>&nbsp;&gt;&nbsp;<em>Export data<\/em>.<\/li><li>Select&nbsp;<em>Product Details<\/em>&nbsp;from the&nbsp;<em>Data type<\/em>&nbsp;section drop down menu. (This file will contain information you can get from the product info page, like Price, Cost, Unit of Measure, Barcode etc.)<\/li><li>Click&nbsp;<em>Browse&nbsp;<\/em>to choose where you\u2019d like this file to be saved.<\/li><li>Click&nbsp;<em>Export<\/em>.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3>Step 2 \u2013 Editing the CSV&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>Open the csv that was exported from inFlow.<\/li><li>Find the columns where you want to make changes.<\/li><li>Save the csv file.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3>Step 3 \u2013 Re-import to inFlow<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>Go to Main Menu &gt;&nbsp;<em>General<\/em>&nbsp;&gt;&nbsp;<em>Import data<\/em>.<\/li><li>In the Data type drop down menu select&nbsp;<em>Product details<\/em>.<\/li><li>Click&nbsp;<em>Browse<\/em>&nbsp;to locate the CSV from your computer.<\/li><li>Click&nbsp;<em>Next<\/em>.<\/li><li>Match the fields to the left (inFlow fields), to the fields in the drop-downs (the CSV fields.&nbsp; Example: Match the Barcode inFlow field with the Barcode field in the drop down menu)<\/li><li>Click&nbsp;<em>Import<\/em>&nbsp;when the fields you want to update all match.&nbsp;<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>From here the import will run. When it\u2019s complete you will see a message on the import screen mentioning how many lines have been updated.
