Changing vendors and need to archive a whole brand? inFlow can\u2019t can\u2019t update more than one item at a time but here\u2019s a little trick you can use to deactivate many items at once.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">First, you\u2019ll need to select which items you want deactivate and export them to Excel.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>To Export a selection of data:<\/b><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Go into the <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Main Menu &gt; Inventory &gt; Product List <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">to pull up a list of all your products<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Use the Search Filters in the top right corner to Narrow down your List to the Products you want to deactivate<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Right-click on the header of the table.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Choose Export contents to CSV<br \/>\n<div class=\"article-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-26335\" src=\"https:\/\/onpremise.inflowinventory.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2018\/09\/product-export-1.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"502\" height=\"251\"><\/div><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><b>To Deactivate the section of data:<\/b><\/p>\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Now that you\u2019ve exported the products you\u2019d like to deactivate to a CSV file, you\u2019ll need to make some changes to it in Excel so that you can update your products en masse.<\/span><\/p>\n\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Open up the .csv file you created above.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Choose the first Blank Column on the right hand side and &nbsp;type in \u201cIsActive\u201d as the column header.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For each product you want to deactivate, add &#8220;FALSE&#8221; to the &#8216;IsActive&#8217; column.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><div class=\"article-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-26337\" src=\"https:\/\/onpremise.inflowinventory.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2018\/09\/product-export-2.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"563\" height=\"281\"><\/div><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;4. Click <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">File &gt; Save As<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> &nbsp;and select file type \u201cCSV \u2013 Comma Delimited\u201d at the bottom of the window to save your import file.<\/span><\/p>\n\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Import your new file into inFlow!<\/span><\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Click <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Main Menu &nbsp;&gt; General &gt; Import Data.<\/span><\/i><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Select <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Product Details<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> as the data type from the drop down menu<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Click the <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Browse<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> button and choose the file you created above and click <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Next<\/span><\/i><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the next screen, match the inFlow field name on the left to the correct column header in your import file by choosing it from the drop down list (see screenshot below).<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Be sure to match up the<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> IsActive<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> inFlow field to your newly made column in your CSV file.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><div class=\"article-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-26340\" src=\"https:\/\/onpremise.inflowinventory.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2018\/09\/inflow-import.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"478\" height=\"345\" srcset=\"https:\/\/onpremise.inflowinventory.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2018\/09\/inflow-import.png 1017w, https:\/\/onpremise.inflowinventory.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2018\/09\/inflow-import-300x217.png 300w, https:\/\/onpremise.inflowinventory.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2018\/09\/inflow-import-768x554.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 478px) 100vw, 478px\" \/><\/div><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">inFlow will update your products using the data from your csv file. Now that these products are deactivated they won\u2019t appear in searches in inFlow.
